The story
Specialized Humans of Interchangeable Forms Task-Force or simply S.H.I.F.T. is an international task force formed by Interpol in the 1960s for covert operations. The organization employs shapeshifters, body hoppers, and a few multibodied people to carry out clandestine law enforcement and intelligence missions. These are their stories.
The agents
Riley - A shapeshifter and the newest member of S.H.I.F.T. Originally from Columbus, Ohio the young shifter used his powers to pull pranks on his friends by posing as their girlfriends or teachers, eventually being discovered by S.H.I.F.T. through a YouTube video titled "My friend's girlfriend secretly has a dick" which got 500 views before S.H.I.F.T. requested he removed it. They employed him immediately under the guise of his parents thinking he got a full ride scholarship. Riley is highly socially adaptive, a skill dating back to his prankster days, however his lack of experience puts him in the lowest tier of missions, mostly arresting drug peddlers and petty criminals, but he has an ambition in him to rise to the top.

Avery - The most senior field shifter on staff. Avery a long time ago was once a man or a woman, even Avery is unsure of this, having renounced his or her gender when she or she was still young along with his or her's real name. Avery's specializes in fluidly changing forms in combat situations, amplified by the Morph Suit, a specialized suit allowing shapeshifters to shift their bodies on the fly. Because of the agents mastery of shifting Avery is typically assigned infiltration and combative missions.

Jamie & Peyton - AKA The Devious Duo. Two of S.H.I.F.T.'s hit men and body hoppers. The two usually operate by taking on the bodies of those closest to their targets and executing them on the spot. Despite their sly nature, once they reveal their identities to their targets they couldn't care less how they acted, usually leading to Jamie and Peyton bickering on how they plan on disposing of their target.

Jordan - An undercover body hopper specializing in mob infiltration. Born in the UK, Jordan discovered his body hoping powers late in life. After working twenty-seven years as an undercover cop initially in London and later for Scotland Yard, on his 45th birthday the cop suddenly found himself with the ability to posses anyone. Due to his decades of experience, Interpol recruited him immediately into S.H.I.F.T. He is currently working in an assigment to bring down Boss Honda, one of the most powerful Yakuza leaders in Japan.

Professor Lee - The top researcher and spokesperson of S.H.I.F.T. Lee, like Avery, renounced his or her gender a long time ago, way before Interpol ever established S.H.I.F.T. The professor is an older hopper, who's birthday predates World Way I, and has been actively studying the science behind hoppers and shifters alike.

ReplyDeleteI'd like to see Riley and Avery on a mission together, both required to assume the same persona for an elaborate heist where a woman needs to be in two places at once. In the hotel room before the mission they try on the bodies and get used to the new form.
DeleteYou read my mind. My plan was always to get those together on the same mission, lol. Riley has a lot of learning to do, best he learns from the best! I just plan to focus on developing the characters first.
